For Organizers

  • Verify you've subscribed to one of the pricing plans
  • Use your PC to create new events — this is not available in the Tracking app
  • Try logging out and logging back in
  • Contact support to check your account
  • Use the Kwindoo Race Committee app to reposition marks while physically at each buoy's location
  • Use GPS coordinates of the boat — enter DD system coordinates in Race Manager
  • After the race, use the Power Editor to adjust mark positions based on actual boat tracks
  • Delete duplicate classes from different races
  • Use custom boat classes to differentiate races
  • Note: boats cannot be moved between races once they have entered
  • Verify start/finish line positioning and passing directions are accurate
  • Make the start line in Kwindoo wider and positioned further forward
  • Check mark rounding directions are correctly set
  • Contact support to recalculate race data if necessary
Kwindoo is not an official regatta scoring system and cannot handle handicap calculations.

Make sure you've selected a specific race from the dropdown list before clicking the Export button.

For Racers

  • Disable battery optimization for the Kwindoo Tracking app and enable background running — visit dontkillmyapp.com for device-specific instructions
  • Update to the latest version of the app
  • Keep your phone adequately charged — consider using a power bank for longer races
  • For persistent issues, contact support with: phone model, Android version, app version, and screen recordings
iOS devices generally provide more stable performance. If any issue occurs on iOS, contact us at [email protected].
  • Make sure you use the latest version of the tracking app
  • If data is still loading, log out and log in again
  • For persistent issues, contact support with: phone model, OS version, app version, and screenshots
  • Ensure your phone has sufficient battery
  • Avoid using the tracking phone for other activities during races
  • Android: Verify the app is allowed to run in background processes
  • iOS: Enable precise location services
  • Consider having a backup phone with another crew member
  • Check your profile settings in the app — coordinates may be waiting to upload

For Viewers

  • Spectators should download "Kwindoo Live View", not the Tracking app
  • No registration needed — just click on the event in the Event List
  • Alternatively, use the tracking view website on a PC
Tip for organizers: Clearly communicate which app to download — "Kwindoo for Racers" (Tracking) and "Kwindoo Live View" (for spectators).
